Aircraft Rentals - Phoenix

we took a look at sawyer a while back (over a year ago) but their prices seemed kinda high..

there was another aviation school out in deer valley that seemed like they had decent prices but i can't remember which one it was....i'm pretty sure it wasn't pan am (aka transpac)

i'm still pretty clueless about how the pricing works

Southwestflightcenter.com has some 84$ an hour 152's up to a Twinstar.

Southwest Flight Center is a pretty good operation. Sawyer charges the same prices as Westwind, albeit their planes are pretty nice at Sawyer.

Westwind @ DVT's rates are good - PanAm/TransPac don't rent to the public as far as I remember. SWFC @ SDL is good too, it's a small family run affair though, "don't go flying near them mountains will ya son" but good prices.

You can also rent a Remos G3 out of SDL if you're looking to timebuild nice and cheaply.

Alex.

Chandler Air service has C172's for $90/hr. They also have a fleet of Piper Warriors going from $84 to $90/hr I believe. These are the best rates I have seen in town, plus they even have tailwheel if interested. Another outfit with decent rates is Arizona Aviation at FFZ. Have a fleet ranging from a Cessna 120 ($77/ hr I think) to 182's with other types in between.

That's to everyone for their suggestions, but this would be less a time building exercise than a sightseeing exercise.

Remos would be really good for that, if you aren't in a hurry to get to what you want to see. High wing, big windows, and fun to fly. Just have to get over the 5000+ RPM's on takeoff
