This summary provides a listing of the knowledge, skills and abilities that are critical components of the position for Instructor – Aircraft Dispatch.<br /><br /><div>B.General </div><div> </div>·This is a full-time position that will report to the Director of SOC and interacts with the Aircraft Dispatchers, the Manager of Aircraft Dispatch, and the DO/Vice President of Flight Operations. The Instructor – Aircraft Dispatch is responsible for the both re-current and new hire training program for all aircraft dispatchers. This includes course<br />design, instruction, evaluation, and follow-up. In addition, the Instructor – Aircraft Dispatch will continue to perform day to day flight dispatching and logistics of the airline relating to aircraft, security, personnel and costs as part of the working dispatch team.The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a thorough knowledge and<br />understanding of scheduled/flag/supplemental aircraft dispatch requirements. In addition, the successful candidate will be prepared to provide additional time,<br />particularly as required by irregular operations, but always in a legal and allowable time frame according to applicable regulations. Good communication skills are required, and the successful candidate must be able to exhibit the values and culture of the company while working in a fast paced/dynamic environment. <br /><br />C.Duties and Responsibilities<br /><br />The duties and responsibilities of the Instructor - Aircraft Dispatch are as follows:<br />·Allocates training resources and delivers the required instruction for initial, recurrent and re-qualification aircraft dispatcher training;<br />·Maintains high knowledge base in flight dispatching, logistic support - able to create and teach processes for making time-dependent logistical decisions relating to the safety of flight, security, personnel, and costs; <br />·Submits records of individual training and qualifications completion to the Corporate training department;<br />·Helps ensure dispatcher qualification records are updated on a timely basis;<br />·Monitors and conducts audits of performance as needed ensures that all required reports are timely submitted to the Director of Corporate Training and the Director of<br />SOC, or their delegate;<br />·Advises on policies and guidance related to aircraft dispatch in Eastern operating manuals, training programs and other operational matters;<br />·Highly knowledgeable in FAA Regulations and Guidance, the Company’s GOM, SOCM, OpSpecs, and other materials pertinent to the duties;<br />·Assists the Director of Corporate Training with the development of the dispatch department’s training budget and works towards the best solutions that maximize<br />training efficiency while minimizing training cost;<br />·May perform other duties as assigned by the DO/Vice President Flight Operations or Director of SOC.<br />
