Anchorage, Alaska:<BR /><br><br><strong>Part Time - Flight Dispatch Specialist</strong><br /> <br /><strong>Qualifications </strong><br /> <br /><strong>Required:</strong><br /> <ul><li><strong>Flexibility to work between 20 and 40 hours per week, evenings, weekends, holidays in a 2 week rotation in Anchorage.</strong></li><li>FAA Aircraft Dispatcher License/Certificate</li><li>Legally authorized to work in the United States, English proficient</li><li>High school diploma or equivalent</li><li>Strong administrative, organizational, and computer skills</li></ul><br><br> <br /><strong>Preferred: </strong><br /> <ul><li>Strong knowledge of flight planning concepts, meteorology, Federal Aviation Regulations</li><li>Knowledge of business aviation industry standards such as IS-BAO and OGP</li><li>Familiarity with Alaska’s North Slope oil industry</li><li>Familiarity with computer flight planning systems (preferably ARINC Direct), Rockwell Collins FOS software, Boeing 737 systems</li><li>Computer literate with proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite</li><li>Strong communication skills with the ability to be patient, flexible, and diplomatic</li><li>Strong ability to multi-task, concurrently work short and long-term projects and meet concurrent needs of multiple customers</li><li>Strong ability to solve problems and make timely decisions under pressure</li><li>Actively communicates and takes time to safely perform work to protect our people and environment</li></ul><br><br> <br /><strong>Position Description</strong><br /> <br />The Flight Dispatch Specialist is responsible for flight planning, flight release, flight crew briefing and updates, weight and balance, meteorological analysis and monitoring, flight following FAR part 125 and FAR part 91 aircraft. Also responsible for internal and external communication and coordination involved in safely operating all flights in accordance with FAA and Company standards. The Flight Dispatch Specialist will work independently/unsupervised under clearly defined procedures, with considerable autonomy, and will be expected to solve high-impact problems, sometimes with minimal guidance. Will apply extensive technical knowledge to a wide variety of situations. Additional responsibilities include record keeping in accordance with Company document retention management and FAA guidance, reporting and analysis of flight operations key performance indicators, and other administrative tasks associated with flight operations management. Entry level position requires FAA Dispatcher Certificate and 1-3 years of education and/or experience.<br /> <br /><br /> This position may require you to submit to and pass a drug test and/or background check. If this is a hands-on position, you may also be required to pass a safety and productivity examination.
