Amerijet International, Inc Miami, Florida:<BR /><div><strong>Department:</strong> </div><div> Flight Operations </div><div><strong>Reports To: </strong> OCC Manager</div> <br /><div><strong>SUMMARY</strong> </div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>Delegated by the Director of Operations, and jointly with the Pilot in Command have the responsibility for the safety and quality of the Operational Control, Aircraft Performance, Operating Limitations, Use of Routes, Areas &amp; Airports, and RVSM airspace. Delegated by the Director of Operations, he/she is responsible for cancelling, diverting, or delaying a flight if in his/her opinion or the opinion of the pilot in command the flight cannot operate safely as planned or released. The Aircraft Dispatcher (Flight Follower) is also responsible for assuring that each flight is monitored with respect to departure of the flight from the place of origin and arrival at the place of destination (including intermediate stops and any diversions there from); mechanical delays encountered (at places of origin, destination, and/or intermediate stops); any known conditions that may adversely affect the safety of a flight. </div> <strong><br /></strong><div><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></div><div><strong></strong> Include the following. Other duties may be assigned by the OCC managers. </div><div><ul><li>Tasks to exercise operational control, not limited to the timely execution of flight releases and electronic &#8220;Amendments&#8221;; provides crew with all the information necessary for the safety of the flight; demonstrates proficiency and compliance with regulatory requirements, applies company procedures - OCC-SOP, and proficiently utilizes the Amerijet Aircraft Manuals Library and company&#8217;s software.&nbsp;</li><li>Tasks to maintain operational control, such as continuously monitoring enroute, destination and alternate weather observations, analysis, and forecasts; NOTAMs (for runways, airports facilities, public protection, lighting, navigation, communication-ATC, fire &amp; rescue status); fuel requirements, aircraft airworthiness status; and making good use of available communications to keep the crew and the &#8220;Airline Group&#8221; updated about the operation.</li><li>Tasks to comply with operational control communications, not limited to prioritizing communications and support by promptly answering the VHF radio; executing notifications for arrivals and/or departures (Customs, PQ, MDAD, APIS, and internal customers). Focusing on safety and cost efficiency by coordinating with Maintenance and Load Control to maximize fleet utilization and payloads; timely provides fuel schedule and final fuel (including fuel tankering, when advisable); efficiently reporting to management.&nbsp;</li><li>Tasks to support the schedule operation and charter sales by timely loading and processing flight plan information in Navtech to expedite delivery of maximum payloads, times, fuel requirements, and requesting overfly/landing permits.</li><li>Tasks to maintain records by completing Daily Turnover in detailed matter, update Fuel Price in Navtech (FOMS) and Geneva (Configuration Manager), and processing Trip Envelopes.&nbsp;</li><li>Responds to phone calls within 3 rings (including supporting scheduling and maintenance control phone lines), timely acknowledges, via email, operational and/or safety information sent by the OCC Managers, and appropriately wears the Company ID while in company premises to comply with the Company Security Plan.&nbsp;</li><li>Assists flight crews with load movements and weight and balance, arrange ground handling and ground support of Amerijet aircraft.</li><li>Utilizes downtime for processing Amerijet manuals, Jeppesen&#8217; revisions, and/or other statistical reports.&nbsp;</li><li>Maintains proficiency in the utilization of the electronic library and OCC software and other publications available in the OCC Aeronautical Publications site.&nbsp;</li><li>Shift coverage in the event of staffing shortage, sick time, vacation, recurrent training etc.&nbsp;</li></ul></div> <br /><div><strong>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</strong> </div><div><ul><li>The physical demands described here are those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.</li><li>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.&nbsp;</li><li>This position requires the incumbent be able to speak and be understood, hear and comprehend the English language, stand for long periods of time, be able to lift approximately 30 pounds, be able to relocate in the event of an emergency, and have a neat and professional appearance.&nbsp;</li></ul></div>
