Aircraft Damaged at KPHX

We got hit with a pretty strong monsoon storm in the Phoenix area last night. Several aircraft at Sky Harbor were damaged. Most notably was an Aeromexico 737 sitting at the International Terminal. The wind was reported at 80+ MPH during the storm. This caused the aircraft to be pushed into the jetway causing damage to the radome. It is unknown the total extent of the damage. I would have had more pictures of other aircraft but the power was knocked out to part of the airport and the lighting was very dim.

Sorry about the picture quality. I was using a cell phone camera to take the photos.

Are we sure that it was a storm and not a Tsa person who didnt cut a hole into the nose to see if he could get inside the airplane through the nose? aeromexico had better watch out, they might get a fine for having a nose cone that is breakable which then would allow a tsarrorist to get inside.

Several -16s damaged at Luke AFB too. Under cover, chocked, etc.

For some reason planes just want to fly even just sitting on the ground.:sarcasm:

Now that you mention it, there were a few departures when the storm let up. :bandit:

. . .yeeeup! I think they were vectored departures. Because they didn't
go to the normal 5DME off PXR before turning on course!

They were turning to the right, as soon as the main had left the ground and the distancce from the ground permitted a safe turn.

Then on course. Most departures were in fact WN! It was very cool to watch. . .
