Amentum Creech Air Force Base, Nevada:<BR /><p>Control aircraft on and within the vicinity of Creech AFB according to established FAA and USAF procedures to prevent collisions and to minimize delays arising from traffic congestion. Issue clearances and traffic information to aircraft landing, departing or operating within the airport traffic area. Provide safe separation and movement of departing, landing, and maneuvering aircraft within the airports Class D airspace.</p><p><p>Essential Responsibilities:</p><ul> <li><p>Responsible for all base assigned UAS aircraft, and manned transient aircraft at Creech AFB. Provide safe and orderly ATC services to arriving and departing VFR and IFR aircraft. Provide VFR and Visual separation between manned and UAS aircraft conducting multiple VFR approaches, SFO’s, low approaches, and touch and go operations. Maintain appropriate runway separation during multiple approaches and landings.</p></li> <li><p>Provide all applicable ATC services according to FAA regulations, Air Force instructions, and Creech AFB local flying procedures.</p></li> <li><p>Maintain qualifications and remain proficient in Ground Control, Flight Data, Local Control, and Controller-in-Charge (CIC).</p></li> <li><p>Conduct all ATC operations using appropriate strip marking, ETVS (TED), DVRS recorder, PCAS, AFAS, airport lighting panel, light gun, TDW radar work station, BAK-14 panel, landlines, and emergency power generator.</p></li> <li><p>Operate the ETVS (TED) air traffic control communications console, the DVRS recorder, Primary Crash Alarm System, AFAS system, the airport lighting panel and the emergency power generator.</p></li> <li><p>Keep written records of daily events using personal PC</p></li> <li><p>Perform other position related duties as assigned or requested.</p></li> </ul><p><p>Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:</p><ul> <li><p>Must have completed an accredited Military or Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) air traffic control school.</p></li> <li><p>Possess knowledge of Air Force, DoD and FAA flight directives.</p></li> <li><p>Must have a CTO issued by the FAA and a total of eight (8) years ATC experience with at least two (2) years Control Tower supervisory experience.</p></li> <li><p>Air Force Special Code (AFSC) of 1C100 (Air Force Certified 7-Level Watch Supervisor staff sergeant (E-5) or above with SEI 054 and 055) or civilian/military/FAA equivalent.</p></li> <li><p>Must have working knowledge of tower radar displays, ATC communications systems, and civilian and military aircraft operational characteristics.</p></li> <li><p>UAS experience desired. Position requires the ability to qualify for and maintain a US Government Secret Security Clearance. Note: US citizenship is required to obtain a US Government Secret Security Clearance</p></li> <li><p>Possess and maintain an FAA class II flight physical.</p></li> <li><p>Possess a valid state issued driver’s license.</p></li> <li><p>Must have good oral and written communication skills.</p></li> <li><p>Position may require different shift work assignments and on occasions may be required routine travel and to spend 2-5 nights away from home for additional updated equipment or qualification training. </p></li> <li><p>On occasion must be able to work weekends and holidays.</p></li> </ul><p><p>Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:</p><p><p>Typical air traffic control tower or terminal office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds. Constant sitting while using the computer terminal, ability to discern all colors of the spectrum (must not be color-blind), constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.
