Air Taxi Service companies?

JCers,

I'm looking for a list of air taxi companies that are currently in business or are setting up shop so they can do business in the future. I know many don't think it will be a long lasting proposition but it's the kind of flying that I would like to try to get in to. I've never been interested in the airlines so the air taxi service would be a good fit for me.

I already know of:
- SATSair
- Dayjet
- POGO
- Point2Point
- Linear Air

Are there any others that I'm missing?

I know of one in ILG (Wilmington, DE) Called Aero Taxi. They operate what looks to be an alright fleet of many aircraft. They have a pilotposition open, but not sure for what aircraft. I do not know of the life or pay of Aero Taxi. So if your looking for an air taxi job, check it out if its worth it. I hope that helped you some.

Thanks for the addition. I'm still a relatively low time flight instructor so I'm shy of hours. I'm just getting all my ducks in a row. I want to have everything ready for the places that I would like to target when I have the appropriate amount of flight time.

As for pay. I'm just looking to make a nice living. I know it's not going to pay like the airlines but I think these places will turn in to good solid jobs. Right now people freak out when they see a little plane but if you watch all the movies everyone is cruising around in flying cars. I know it might be crazy to draw that correlation but we tend to make our dreams a reality. Look at the Star Trek Communicator thing. They look just like nextel phones. haha.

Anyway... I might be a little crazy but I think the Air Taxi and VLJ thing is gonna work out just fine.

Glad I could help you out abit. I hear the pay is alright, of course not as much as the airlines. But your like me, not intrested in the airlines and going corporate. Good luck and have fun.

Actually that position on the sitte I gave you has been open for months and months.

I guess, first I need to know what your def. of Air Taxi is.
For names I would say:
LAB Flying
Wings of Alaska
Skagway Air
Ward Air
the list keeps going.

I'll probably be staying out of Alaska but I have a friend flying up there right now. I'll forward that info on to him. I'm sure he'll be interested.

lol yeah thanks john. i know them all. and for those of you that dont know john i think it would be like finding a needle in a haystack trrying to get him up here. warmth and good looking women arent the only things to life man. ok well warmth atleast
