Air China

The hell's the matter with you? :)

More fees? Nah, time to start selling some of those half-million-dollar Cessna 172s.... ;)

Even so, fees would be much higher than when I was a student because the purchase price off those planes is so much higher. When I was a student a brand new pa28 was like 160k, the 172s is more like 260k which is crap because the pa28 has better build quality in my opinion

Where did you get 260K from? Sticker price on a 172SP is 307,500. Sure, they probably get a fleet discount, but I doubt it's enough to drop the price down to 260,000.

That is what they told us, when you are buying 70 planes w/o autopilot I'm sure you get a"deal" still too much money for the chevy cavalier of planes

Not surprising. What year are they? I wasn't aware you could even get the 172 without an autopilot these days, since they are come with the G1000, and the G1000 comes with the GFC700.

The story I've heard is that we have to pay extra to get the 172 without the autopilot...That said, I haven't heard anything about Air China leaving. We just started a new class a few weeks ago.

I just flew 514 today, one of the first that we got, and it had over 3,000 hours on it already!

Planes only last 6-8yrs there before they are cycled out for newer ones.

I flew 556 back from the factory in 2009
