We’re always looking for people whose nature and personalities reflect those of Jazz. People who are confident, creative, innovative and able to lead. People with panache, youthfulness, a real sense of humour, a big heart and a deep love of the communities in which they live and we serve.
Air Canada Jazz is an Employment Equity employer.
Jazz is actively recruiting pilots for ground schools.
Pilots operate Dash 8 and CRJ aircraft out of one of our five crew base locations: Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Montreal or Halifax. In order to be considered for employment pilots must meet certain basic criteria:
  • possess a Canadian Airline Transport Pilot’s License (ATPL);
  • have a minimum of 1,500 hours fixed wing flight experience (only ½ of second officer time will be counted towards total flight experience);
  • have a minimum of 1,000 hours pilot in command (PIC) experience;
  • have a minimum of 500 hours multi-engine flight time;
  • hold a valid Transport Canada Class 1 Instrument Rating;
  • hold a valid Transport Canada Class 1 Medical;

  • hold a current passport and any additional visa documentation required to operate aircraft within the USA;
  • have completed a High School diploma;
  • computer knowledge considered an asset;
  • access to a personal computer with the ability to read Compact Disk (CD) media;
  • fluency in English; and
  • be legally entitled to work in Canada.
Pilot applicants far exceed the number of job vacancies available, so preference will be given to candidates with qualifications exceeding the basic requirements. Examples of such desirable qualifications include, but are not limited to:
  • experience in Airline Operations (i.e. CAR 705 operations);
  • turbine engine experience;
  • jet experience;
  • heavy aircraft (i.e. greater than 12,500 lbs. MTOW) experience;
  • post secondary education; and
  • French language ability.
The following questionnaire consists of 21 questions, designed to help us understand your skills and experience.
Please attach your resume.
Thank you for your interest in Jazz!
Due to the volume of applications only those candidates chosen for interviews will be contacted.

I'm sure AirCanada must love the Jazz pilots since they own them.
Not sure about the upgrades, but I would imagine it would be a lot
slower than these lucky guys out here in the U.S.
Westjet has some pretty high mins(5000) but I think they came down recently. I would'nt imagine them having any problems either.
I would love to work at any of them..lol
Beggers can't be choossers...:(
