AFROTC

With the repeal of DADT, is gay marriage now recognized by the military too?

If I remember reading correctly, gay marriage is not recognzied by the military. But "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" has been done away with and gay people cannot be discriminated by the military, kicked out, if they're openly about it.

Just in case anyone needs updated information, AFROTC does not recognize a common-law spouse as a married spouse. Single parents cannot join AFROTC, but a married parent is eligible; according to AFI 36-2002.
So an afternoon and a justice of the piece.

Sounds like one of the number of upcoming issues that will need to be addressed now that the repeal has taken place.

I have over 2,000 hours with my "navy hat" in my flight suit pocket, under my G-suit, without a problem. Am I missing something?

I guess I just have been :) In the words of my favorite paddles, "how can I be a Lieutenant without my hat?"
