Awesome thanks for posting that! I have something to look forward to. :nana2:
Definitely going for the Seaplane and the Aerobatics. Can you take the aerobatics course with another flight course like 323?

When you're flying in aerobatics, does the instructor let you do pretty much anything you want in the plane, or is there structure to the course?

Since last year I've been thinking of doing the seaplane course just for fun. We have a cabin on a lake in Montana and I've always thought it would be neat to fly in there and just tie up at the dock.

I think you practice specific maneuvers like Hammerheads, loops, etc...could be wrong though...

How do those courses work really..do you still have stage checks to do and ground class?

oh no, theres definite instruction on how to properly do things, aerobatics is very much oriented on enhancing your stick and rudder skills in all regimes of flight, far beyond the straight and level....

youll learn how to fly all the maneuvers, and how to make them better, cleaner, better looking, etc.

BUT

yes its also a killer fun time!

in this video clip me and my instructor just took turns flying a freeform sequence of maneuvers...its not just random movements though... its all about energy management!! :)

there is no "stage check" however, and the ground course is sat/unsat only.

Two questions:

1) What kind of plane were you flying?
2) Was the music done by Drop Kick Murphys?

Just did my spin flight for 414 today! I think I'm sold on the aerobatics course next semester or whenever i have time!

i did aerobatics 4 years ago, best course i ever did. i should really loose some weight so i can instruct it.....

btw: your instructor is my office mate, stop by sometime
