Aero Charter

Ive talked about them before. I was in a class almost two years ago this fall. I was floored how piss poor everything was ran. Lack of communication, sitting for three days waiting for drug tests results before starting class, getting the run around. Others in the class felt the same way. I handed in my books and called AMF back.

Now three pilots I fly with worked for them they didn't mind the place and enjoyed it.
They do pay well.

Just do your homework.

I sent in an app several weeks ago, but have not heard back. I live in the Phoenix area and am trying to stay as close to home as possible. Which is not easy.

Trust me, from the vibe I got, you don't really want to work there. Training contract to fly a 310!?!?!?! Absurd!

Seems like everyone is doing that now adays. Thanks though for the information I do appreciate it.

Aero Charter is actually a pretty good company to work for. I spent a little over 2 years flying out of PHX for them. The planes are in ok shape, and the DO and DM are very easy to get along with. The training contract thing was instituted just before I left when starting pay went up to 185$ a day. There were many who worked a couple of months just to get 300 multi, then went to AMF to fly 99's. I still try to keep in touch with the DO, so if you have any ?? just pm...

So that justifies it?

I'm just saying I got a bad vibe about: 1) no benefits for a year and 2) training contract.

If a place was so suitable, why are they forcing a contract? Seems like a lot of people were leaving for whatever reason. I'm not saying it's a bad place to work, but just don't be blinded by just "pay"

Just to keep things in perspective, everyone who has actually flown at this operation has said positive things. I have no connection to the company whatsoever, I should add.

good point friend... I had nothing but good times while i worked for them... there really isn't much outside of amflight, and empire in PHx...

Hi all,

Who do you talk to/send a resume to get on with the PHX base? How long is the training contract? Anyone still working there?
