Aerial photography Position in KFUL

An aerial photography company based out of Mesa is looking for a single-ops pilot in a C 172.

Requirments to my knowledge are:

-350TT+ (Insurance requirments)

-Commercial Pilot Certificate.

From what I know they are based out of Mesa Az, but have 9 aircraft in operation out of KFUL.

Do a search for "DWAS" on here for more info. It's a full-time on-the-road type gig, you won't be based anywhere for more than a few weeks at a time.

Is that what it is? Cool. I just recieved a phone call from someone in Mesa AZ, because I was referred for the position but I could not give full time since I am a student. And am now trying to help him out by trying to find someone else. All of the people I know who have those requirements are at a RJ, full time CFIing or do not have their commercial and fly for recreation. -thanks very much aloft.

It's a good alternative to CFI-ing if you can put your life on hold and do nothing but fly for 4 months.

Pretty sure it's around $2,000 a month. I know there is at least one person here on JC that works there. He can answer better.

Take-home pay is $2200/mo with 2 withholding exemptions. About $660 of that is nontaxable per diem ($22/day).

Again, don't think the job is gonna be based out of KFUL...it'll be that way only about a month or so, then you'll be on the road whereever they send you.

In fact, mods, can you change the thread title to "Aerial Mapping Job"?

It's a good job considering you won't have a home for another 5 months. The pay is decent, and the flying is pretty cool & interesting. Great way to build hours other than the cfi route.

Would there be any travel assistance, ie money, for an almost east coaster to get out to California if hired? I don't mind the nomad lifestyle, but I do not want to drive my truck all the way to California, to let it sit, end up some where else and then have to fly back out there to pick it up, just to drive back across country. So, how does that work?

Other than that, I would be interested.

Yes, the company pays for an airline ticket.

The requirements are Commercial/Instrument, 350 TT, 2nd class medical.
