ADF Symposium 2012

Well-met in the Ka-tet
It's in Orlando this year - next month, in fact, from October 10-12. More information can be found here:

These really are fun, informative events, and while I feel the word "networking" is over used, it's a good place to meet lots of dispatchers from lots of different airlines (including the majors) and find out about various topics impacting our profession. Plus, if you're an ADF member, it's FREE to attend. I am planning on attending and it would be fun to meet some JCers there in real life. For information on becoming a member of ADF, here is another link - cost is only $30 a year or $15 if you're a student:

If anyone is contemplating attending, but worried about hotel costs, please PM me since I know someone that is looking to possibly share a room while there.

Would if I had more heads up, I already planned on going next door to Embry-Riddles Wings and Waves air show in Daytona on the 13th and 14th. Let me know if any of you guys plan on stopping by there.

I'm staying around after it's over for a few days, but I'll probably still be in the Orlando area since I've never been there before. If I do make it up to Daytona, though, I'll let you know.

Hope everyone who attended enjoyed the Symposium - it was nice to meet some jetcareers people in person! Hope everyone who attended can make it to next year's gig in DC.

I was only able to attend the first day of the ADF meeting, but it was great. It was my first one and absolutely will not be my last. If you are serious about our profession and you want to meet lots of pros doing the important work in the Dispatch field, do yourself a favor and join.

Is the ADF a worthwhile organization? I don't hear much about them at all.
