I had a student pose these questions to me:
What are the FAA CAMI requirements for pilots diagnosed with acid reflux and on medications for treatment, but without an ulcer? Do they have to call the FAA to notify them, or just report it on the next medical? What extra paperwork might be needed?
How about for H. Pylori infections?
Are either of the above grounding?
VFS says there is an extensive workup required, is that still true?
Any answers or experience?
Thanks!
