ACE Camp Counselors?

I was wondering if anyone here has experience with being an ACE (Aviation Career Education) Camp counselor...

I just got offered a counselor position in Minneapolis for the July session! :) :nana2:

I'm so psyched! If anyone wants to be a counselor's counselor, by all means offer your advice. I'm wide open for it.
 
tell your students not to freak out if they have to sit next to the engine on a md80. composure and professionalism at all times !
 
Congrats on the position.

This is not meant to be a slight against you, but wouldn't an Aviation Career Counselor position be better filled by someone who has prior experience (I'm talking real world) in the aviation industry?
 
The program is sponsored by MnDOT, FAA, and Saint Cloud State University Department of Aviation. Often times student leaders from SCSU are recruited for counselor positions. My guess is that the program asks for many different levels of experience.

I think doing something like that would be pretty fun if they had such a thing where I was (they might, I don't know) and I had the time (I probably don't).

I don't believe I've met her in person but she used to be on our WAI Board back in the day before I got here. Knows Randi, who works as an instructor at our contracted flight training provider. :)
