A semi-sad day for Naunga

Well, as some of you know I'm moving down south to Atlanta.

In fact the blessed event is this weekend.

On the down side today will be my last lesson at my flight school. Called them yesterday to get the forms and the remaining Salle Mae money sent back.

The good news is that I get to find a new flight school in ATL (have any suggestions?), and I'm getting closer and closer to deciding to chuck 9-5 and head to ATP or FSI and get it all done.

But I need some time to figure that one all out.

EatSleepFly: Sorry we didn't get to hookup before I left. Drop me a PM anytime you're around ATL.

Later.

Embrace change, my brother!

ATL is a great town! Lived there for 2 years and loved every minute of it.

Best of luck and keep us posted!

Give ATP a call... I'll be down there starting july 12th for the CPP.

P.S. Where are you staying down there? I believe they put us ATP guys in the Wellington Point apartments.

Oh don't get me wrong I love, love, love, LOVE ATL. I'm not sad about leaving Cleveland AT ALL.

It's just sad to leave me first flight school esspecially since I'm sooo close to my PPL checkride. Damn!

Oh well, finish in ATL (probably at KPDK any thoughts? Anyone?).

And I certainly will keep you all up to date.

What part of ATL are you going to be living in. Remember the traffic sucks.

If PDK is choice definetly check out Aviation Atlanta. I havent heard any bad stuff about them I have visited and seem to be organized. If up in in Gwinnett check out the Flight School of Gwinnett at LZU. My wifes cousin instructs there and have flown there Arrow. Reasonably priced and planes seem to be in good condition. I am on the southside of town and I would suggest Peachtree Flight at Falcon Field. Any other questions just let me know and welcome to Hotlanta even though is been raining for almost 2 weeks

We're going to be in Decatur. PDK is right up the road from us.

I am kicking around ATP over at Henry County (doing the 10 month self-paced...since I still have to work), but probably won't head over there until after my PPL is finished up, and it's a long drive when you consider traffic. I mean if I did manage to not need my job I might go for the 90 day program, but would probably live there since traffic is such a pain.

Thanks for the info.

Oh and about the rain...I've been kidding my wife since it's been absolutely beautiful here. Oh well, I'll take 4 days of rain to escape 4 months of snow any day.

I'd recommend Aviation Atlanta as well if you train at KPDK. Another quality place I would recommend is Superior Flight School at KRYY, but it would tack on an additional 10-15 minutes driving time up to Kennesaw.

Peachtree Flight is pretty good. They just bought some new planes and have a senecas for twin training. From Decatur though is a nice long drive.

If you are going to be in Decatur then PDK or LZU are much closer. Aviation Atlanta would be my choice at PDK. ATP is out at Fulton County Airport instead of Henry County.
