A little Aviator info...

Just so people know.

Mike has started putting wireless high speed internet in the houses. That takes care of some of the "negatives" that some people have mentioned in the past. Although.... I don't think that having to pay for my own internet access was really a negative when considering the fantastic instruction and multitudes of twin time that I get for the price. It's the best deal around in my opinion.

Also... He just bought a couple more BE-76's for the fleet. They're not on line yet but one is here. It looks pretty nice and definitely not a minute too soon. There's a lot of students and a crapload of time builders.

One more thing. There have been quite a few guys get hired in the last month or 2. Some are flying Beech 1900's, a couple in Saab 340's and one in a Lear. I don't know what the other couple are flying. But.... they're getting hired as fast as new pro course guys are coming on to instruct.

peace out,
j

Cool - I'm planning to be there the first week in September for the 200hr multi program - can't wait! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Great news. I'm starting in less than three weeks, so I'm glad to hear new planes are coming on the line, and guys are moving on, and Ari-Ben's doing well.

With the addition of wireless Internet, is there gonna be an additional cost to the $450/mo? (Also good and important news for me, as I'm enrolled with UVSC for Spring 2005, working towards my completing a degree while instructing for Aviator.)

That's awesome news...after a brief hiatus from flying, I'm starting timebuilding tomorrow (well i'll schedule it tomorrow)...any news if the new duchesses will be allowed for timebuilding? 'Cause I know 822ER isn't.

I'm not sure about housing costs changes. I live in Mike's housing but i'm in the house that's different than the rest so I pay more anyway. I don't know what everyone else pays or if the price will change.

I also don't know the status of the 2 new planes. The reason (from what I understand) 822ER is not available for time building has something to do with it being a lease. I'm pretty sure these new planes were purchased by Mike so I would assume that they will be available for time building. It will be nice to have those as well as a couple that have been in maintenance for quite a while. That should really free up the planes. Right now they're super booked. It takes less than 2 weeks for them to go in for their 100hr's. That's a lot of flying.

peace,
j
