someone like big things:) I don't know how you like landing on gravel. Did that one time and it wasn't a pleasurable experience.

Why are those photos so tiny? I can barely see them!

In the future, make sure you enlarge your pics so that I can see them better, okay?

Hehe, nice photos, man.

I'm just curious, why (or how, rather) does your prop look so good if you're going off of gravel all the time? Our Caravan's props gets chewed up just doing line patrol. I was kind of surprised to see yours in such good condition, lol

You've gotta hold the nose off, taxi slowly with stick all the way back, and make incredibly gentle power adjustments. Ohh, and btw, no runups on gravel if you can help it, and park into the wind. As soon as you park tailed into the wind when you start up you'll put rocks through the prop continuously after startup. Also, every takeoff of gravel is an extra soft field (e.g. as soon as you have the power too, pull the nose wheel a couple of inches off of the ground), and with every landing you hold the nose off as long as possible.

In my opinion, however, the leading factor doesn't have that much to do with technique, the vast majority of debris going through the prop is caused by rocks thrown forward by the tires, now if you look at our tires, we've got mudflaps. It cuts down on a lot of the debris being kicked around. I still try to be pretty gentle on the gravel though.

Btw, what is line patrol?
