Job Description
This position reports to the Assistant Chief Pilot, Fight Technical and Safety. As a 777X Technical Pilot, supports new aircraft and system development and certification efforts. Provides flight operations, safety and technical support to Boeing internal and external customers at multiple levels. Develops and validates procedures and operating techniques and assists other Technical Pilots with cross-model procedures. Provides information and specialized technical services to Company and customer flight crews to enhance flight operations efficiency. Consults with cross-functional teams during accident investigations and analysis. Researches, edits, documents and coordinates publication of procedures and techniques for operating Boeing aircraft. Supports sales campaigns by discussing and demonstrating aircraft and new flight technology. Serves as a consultant to senior management and other industry professionals. Maintains qualification as a Boeing Captain on at least one aircraft model. Job requires an FAA ATP or international equivalent.
This position is a SPEEA Union Position.

Qualifications
Level 3 - Technical bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' or a PhD degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study.
Level 4 - Technical bachelor's degree and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or a Master's degree with typically 7 or more years' or a PhD degree with typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study.
Other Job related information:
FAA Airline Transport Pilot license or international equivalent with the appropriate endorsements required. Experience flying transport category aircraft in the last five years required. 777 type rating highly desired.
