Noteworthy because of the recent news about Russia trying to burn-up other DHL aircraft passing through Leipzig.

Interesting data point, and now begs the question if there is a connection to those other spontaneous combustion events.

Old man brain is getting to me. 1962 Marine Corps version. “F’s”.

I was thinking 2 years after I joined we had a 40 year birthday party for one of the airplanes. But it was actually 2 years after I went back to the rag for FE training. So 2002.

I’ve been in a 3 bladed A model on the ground but we never had them.

Edit to add if I dug out my old logbooks I could give you a Buno.
 
First hours were in a 1940 Aeronca Chief. which was 43 years old when grandpa started teaching me for real. Which was 41 years ago. Now what is this about airplanes that are only 30 years old being "old"?
