so we are looking outside and the 172's are starting to weathervane.. pretty strong winds... all of a sudden the duchess' tail lifts up and flips up over itself and slides about 20' on the ground the maintenance guys run out there to see if any fuel is running out and to tighten the ropes on the other planes. too bad that was the best multi they had. DCA lost 3 planes one of them flipped while a cfi and student were taxing back to the ramp. fortunately nobody was hurt. also two jets i think a lear and falcon jumped there chocks and gave each other a little hangar rash. i took some video of them righting the plane with two huge tow trucks but i have no idea how to post it if anyone can give me instructions ill do it. some people were saying it was a tornado some a microburst, it seriously just came out of nowhere the skies were dark all day few lightning strikes here and there but calm all in all......
good thing noone was hurt...
