14 left on Furlough at AWAC

How is the qol there @ awac?

Some of the best in the industry based on their contract. However I dont buy there are only 14 left. Plus all the bringing of people back I would assume has stopped. Wheelsup is still an FO and I doubt he's going back to his left seat any time soon?

tough market to be in now! i have a friend who has been with UAL for 25 years and is still pretty positive about flying. It is nice to hear about qol from carriers other than UAL and the regional associates.

My buddy who was in a March class last year was furloughed at the end of the summer last year, and he is back on line now sitting reserve in Philly.

Like wheelsup said, we've got 22 left on furlough as of now. Recalls are done for the summer, and now we'll just hope to avoid any furloughs/displacements when fall rolls around.

Surely your company thought that whole process out before awarding recalls. That would be a HUGE loss of training dollars and money to bring them back and send them packing. Although I was shocked the NUMBER of guys you all did bring back. I thought that was interesting. And or you all were just flying a heck of a lot more on RSV then us here at PSA. Either way I ran into a few recalls while I was in recall. Great guys. I wish them nothing but the best.

Sure, they claimed to have thought all of that stuff out but the reality is you never know. Reserves are being used heavily, some might say even more than that. ;)

Yes we are really short staffed right now for the summer but according to our director of training (?; can't remember his title) shouldn't have to displace or furlough in the fall with the schedules USAir gave us. They knew it was coming (the reduction).

The owners turned $125 mil into almost a half billion dollars, I think they can manage this...

So how is PSA staffing compared to AWAC? Also, has PSA heard anytihng about their fall flying?

Class just in recurrent was told we would not and will not upgrade/recall any more. We are going through the summer short due to the fall decrease in block hours and lack of attrition. Things could change. But its not like anyone is gaining because PDT is losing those 7 planes. Or so it seems. Unless AWAC is gaining, doesnt look like PSA is.
