1000 Multi PIC

Not even 100 Multi PIC is required. I don't think any of the regionals have any multi requirements any more.

35 MEL + 15 hours of time in the sim will add up to the 50 MEL required for the ATP. So, that's an effective minimum.

Edit, I didn't see your qualifier "Major" airlines before I replied.

I think only SWA still requires anything like that currently:
Flight Experience: 2,500 hours total or 1,500 hours Turbine total. Additionally, a minimum of 1,000 hours in Turbine aircraft as the Pilot in Command is required

Of course, what is competitive on an application is a different question entirely.

No kidding? I only had 300 PIC turbine. I did have the trump card, though. I had a full F/E ticket in a 727. That was something back in the day.

Spirit requires 500 TPIC for their career fairs. The career fairs are essentially required to get an interview however some people are able to get around that.

As far as I've read online Skywest and Compass at least still require 25 hours multi time...doesn't state PIC. I'm not sure how hard of a requirement for that is but it shows it on their website. Haven't really looked at any other regionals though but I wouldn't be surprised if they're requiring 25 as well. (for rATP)...

Correct me if I'm wrong but 61.159 states that you must have 50 hours of flight time in the class of airplane for the rating sought (ATP)? Making all regionals require 50 hours multi if you don't qualify for the rATP?

I thought most of the majors were going away with the PIC turbine time because some regional guys get hired from the left seat at the regionals that are still senior?

The 25 hours in the sim will count toward the 50 hours of multi time required for the ATP. The only catch is that you have to wait till after your checkride to take the oral.

In the Sim you're referring to after you've been hired?

Yes, a few guys in my class didn't have 50 multi so they got the last few hours in the sim.
Do you know how it works for the rATP then? I need 25 hours and have about 13 right now with only 1.3 pic (checkride) so I was debating to get my MEI after my CFII or just save and try to find a cheap way to build the next 12 hours multi?

I assume I would at least need the 25 multi because I think the reg says only 25 multi can be sim time.
