10.000 miles across the U.S

Fantastic! Looks like a great trip. Gotta admit, I think low and slow would be a great way to see the country.

Sweet pics. Are the night shots a carrier or LHD?
Also the bunking area brought back nightmares for me. :panic:

Lake Mead brought back some nice memories as well.

Very well done sir, seems a lot more fun than how some do it in RV's.

That is the USS Midway Museum in San Diego. Oh those bunks are a hell of a lot smaller than the new ones from the past 20 or so years! I got in one when I took my family. I'm almost 6'1" and both my head and feet were touching the rack bulkhead! They have and overnight educational program for youth groups, where thay can come aboard afterhours learn about naval avation; tour spaces not open to the public and sleep onboard the ship.

Hey!
Thanks for your replies.

I used a Pentax K10D with a Sigma 17-70mm lens.
It was a fantastic trip - a true adventure. Weather was not that nice all the time but I had some amazing days with "almost" unlimited visibility

That's kind of funny, that formation that's in your first several pictures, I flew on a track about a mile south of yours going the other direction a week ago. Boring area to fly over east of there! lol
