Not that I didn't believe you, but I had to google:

(looks like a B717 - I wonder when the CS300 will put in for an AR contract) :D
If I recall correctly, the previous short list was mostly KC10 replacements or stand ups. I think MacDill had some drama about the 46 which currently flies the 135. Grand Forks has not had 135s since 2010. Dover has not had tankers either. Pease is the only one with 135s - I don't know if it...
I saw that I if I recall the candidates are from aviation universities. Pending it's success I wonder if that would apply to higher time candidates without an aviation degree.
....so a Captain dies midflight over the Atlantic and the FE looks to the FO and says "well what should we do?" The FO responds "I don't know but first let's get this *edit* out of my seat."
Over a hundred thousand applicants for roughly a thousand jobs - wow. That was just Delta. I had no idea the volume of applications they received.
Surprisingly, in a small Indoc class I was one of two with a college degree with one of those just having finished their degree later in life. In...
Well - I'm a slight oddball out, I knew it was just a checkbox. Even then I made it much more difficult on myself. I may have kicked and screamed and fought at it being a waste of time and money, but ultimately it won. I'll bow to the social stigma because it gave me an entrance to the stage...
That is sort of the rub, but as much as I hate cliches its the pigeon and the statue analogy - someone has to get screwed. I won't go as far as a conspiratorial inference between lending and approved schools (though I can see the follow the money - its a small sub sect however), but somethings...

Check out Action Multi in GON. For the price it's worth the travel. This was a few years ago and I drove but everything including my expenses was right at $3,000. Excellent training and they send you study materials before hand.
The worst part about being a pilot is those who complain about being a pilot, and more so the lifestyle it entails.
Currently embracing the suck and enjoying it.
I do not believe it has to deal with marketing or the routes, but rather how the airline operates internally. I believe the GLO brand already went into bankruptcy in April. These guys are operated by CFM/Contour - not sure how well the other side(s) are doing.
There is always a chance. I have seen two age waivers, one of which was prior enlisted. The how is probably a unit by unit decision, so pull the phone book out and be ready with a completed application.
Sorry - you're going to have to answer for yourself instead of differing to other threads.
I really want to hear your expertise on the matter now that I've been labeled "ignorant" for asking a question.
Hey - thanks for the helping hand as I wander in apparent ignorance like I missed some social que about why such a question leads you to believe that is ignorance. I guess you cannot divulge your trade secrets. At least rebut so anyone can see how you might even be right or wrong.
