    That is the one major thing I try to impress on FOs that are new to the type. There is more than one way of making the jet do what you want it to do. I really don't care what vertical mode you personally use, just as long as we make crossing restrictions, are stable on approach, etc...

    Ours is similar. 12 months or 400 credit hours (sequences flown) and a Continuing Qualification/ event. However, a probationary pilot can not bid for a Captain vacancy. Because of that, we'll never see upgrades lower than 9 months.
