Tulum was the cool place to be, until they opened the airport there. Just two years in and already seeing fewer passengers and reduction in service.

Almost 2 years in, US airlines are scaling back service to Tulum's airport

U.S. airlines are sending fewer seats to Tulum this winter as the airport struggles to gain traction with travelers.

I’d be curious to see if the other tourist places are also seeing the same trends (Cabo, Cozumel, Cancun).

Tulum was great because the kind of people who go to Cancun didn't go there. Let the riffraff in and you might as well just go to South Padre or something. This is a worldwide problem.
