It was around 6 weeks from closing date to test authorization for PUBNAT3. Then two more weeks for the scheduling e-mail, and another week or two for the test depending on when you took it. Scores took anywhere from 1 to 8 days. Now we are waiting for the geo pref e-mail....
 
Well, I applied in February, and I will not be going to the academy until November, just to give you all an update and an idea of how long it can take.

I got an e-mail from DT asking if I would mind going to SCK, which I don't but I am not going to say no because I just want in, and since SCK has the same air space as NCT, maybe I can work my way in there later, or if I really like tower, I can always look for a transfer later, Long Beach, LAX, John Waybe, SFO, Sacramento, there are many places I can go, hell I may give up on Cali and move to SYR, dunno.

Well they were being smart for once. NCT would have eatin you up alive. (you ever listen to them? Whenever I'd get flight following I was always amazed by how much some sectors handle)
 
I know. I mean I would have been a little happier if I got a little higher facility, but I will make the best of what ever they give me.
 
I just heard from one of my buddies that they are receiving emails from the Alaska only application regarding the ATSAT and that he got his today. Hopefully it won't be too much longer before PUBNAT4 gets the ATSAT email....

The emails weren't to schedule the test, they were to tell people to decline if they are not willing to travel there to take the test.

WOW, can't believe I am the first to post this:

Just logged into ASAP and I am AUTHORIZED to take the AT-SAT. It didn't show that last night when I logged it but it's there now at 1130a EDT.

Thats an automated message, so its either that the computer didn't calculate enough work experience to qualify or that you didn't click yes to the 5 releases of information at the end (the second one happened to me for a state annoucement and got that same message).
 
I just called and when they finally picked up told me that my military experience wasn't calculated into my work history because it wasn't listed in the employment section...


WTF? If military experience is defined in the MILITARY column and NOTHING STATES anywhere on the application that "in order to get your military work credited to the ap it has to be in the employment section"

how can they possibly say it can't be used on my pubnat4 application??

this is f'd. they let a computer system do all the work and then if there are any questions they say.. "Nope, sorry the computer didn't deem you qualified and there's nothing we can do"

well, the good news is that she said that my current work history (after updating several times) looks just fine and I should get in under pubnat5.. (yay! 6 months down the road!)

Wow, I am sorry to hear that. It really sucks. I wish there was something to do about it. Hopefully it works out this next go around.
