FAR Part 95

I know that for my CFII checkride I'm going to need to explain to the DPE the different publications that are pertinent to an IR student.

My question is, what about part 95 do I need to stress? Because it isn't in the FAR/AIM and I'll have to print it off some website.

None. All the info contained there is available in more readily available publications, e.g., enroute charts and the AIM.

Don't be sad about it, there's a whole =bunch of FAR parts that you will probably (in some cases hopefully) never get exposed to.

Part 95, Entitled "IFR Altitudes" it's supposed to deal with such things as designation of "mountainous terrain", special altitudes for certain routes, intersections and change-over points. But other than the "mountainous terrain" designation, it's pretty much empty.

gotcha. covered the practical applications of this when learning about enroute charts and all that good stuff then.

Thank you. The advice I was looking for was just a summary, and that's what you gave. I went to the govt's FAR website and tooled around it and noticed a bunch of lat/long stuff related to different airways and such, but it looked so disorganized I thought surely I had the wrong one.
