Announcement Ending 05/02

I don't find anything anywhere "offensive"; I just run into too many plebeians, luddites, and cerebrally-deficient morons.
You must be surrounded by mirrors!
I come to this forum for information not for a bunch of kindergartners like you wanting to be big stuff.
Best of luck to you. You will need if once you report to your facility.

If this is true, I have some news... if this is false, we can pretend this post never happened...

Someone posted on ATCCTI.com that the hiring panel for terminal is meeting the week of 9/8 and enroute is meeting the week of 9/29.

Here's the link to the post:

I don't know how true it is, but it's more than we've heard so far...

I don't know how true it is, but it's more than we've heard so far...

It probably has as much truth as all the other rumors on here....The standard---I heard from a friend, of a friend, of a friend...who's mom works here...blah blah blah...

Hell, even if it was straight from the FAA, I dont know how much validity it would have

I didn't realize panels were split into Terminal and En Route. Does this mean that people who don't select a job preference are less likely to be picked?

i would think you are more likely to be picked if you chose 'both' since either panel has the ability to choose you

Or even worse...when they regurgitate inane, cookie-cutter answers such as:
*calls up on week 6*:
Me: "Hi, I'm calling in regards to the 5/30 general public announcement. When might we hear back about the AT-SAT?"
FAA Careers Lady: "Oh, 2-4 weeks!"
Me: "Truly? It's been six already; that's why I'm concerned."
FAA Careers Lady: "Has it be-...oh, MY, darlin'! Look, it has!".

Has anyone who's gotten a geopref letter and expressed a career preference not been picked?

Of course. There are people with only qualified scores that weren't picked, and some with well qualified and not picked. It just depends on what states you are applying, how many applicants the FAA has, and luck

Look back at some of the febots threads when people got their initial pepc invite. There were people that didn't get an email.

Yep... everyone gets a geographic preference email.

I'm completely aware of that, which is why I said, "I don't know how true it is." I don't know where the person got those dates, but since it was the first time I've seen anything other than just "Sept/Oct" I figured I'd post it.

This is consistent with some information I have received in the past few days.

Where are the test scores located on ASAP. Took the test the 7/18 and I still dont see it. I'm going crazy!

It's in 2 places... the first is on the main page as soon as you sign in. It should be right above where it says you were authorized to take the test.

It should also be under User Information and then Test Information.

::sigh:: as long people don't have their scores, we won't get our geographic preference emails yet...

I've circled the area where your score should be posted on the ASAP website. This is the first page you see after you log on. People still don't have their scores? What does that mean for the rest of us 05/02's?

It means no geo pref email yet :(

Who else is out there that took it on 7/18... did you guys get your scores?

Edit: It seems I just found the answer to my question... sort of...

http://forums.jetcareers.com/air-traffic-control/70168-at-sat-july-18-a.html

Some people from that day got scores?

OK that is where I've been looking. Right above where the notice saying I've been approved to take the AT-SAT, there is this message
**** NOTICE Regarding AT-SAT Score ****
I don't remember noticing it there before, but the test info page under user info is blank also. They said at the test it could be up to 14 days, it is just agonizing. When it is 14 days, who should I call to inquire about it?

The "NOTICE Regarding AT-SAT Score" has been there... you probably just didn't notice it. I want to tell you to call after 14 days, but I also don't want that to screw you over somehow. If they messed something up and the rest of us do get our geo pref emails this week and you don't call until Friday, I'm afraid of them telling you there's nothing they can do about it by that point.

They **HAVE** his score, they just have got around to entering the data into ASAP to notify him. We could easily get the geopref email today, and so would he, the score might not post until later this week. It's just a data entry delay... but they have the score.
