Sister said that at 3 they are letting people walk around inside. So I'm gonna head up there and snap some pics.

Just found out today I was awarded a Q Captain position.

Should be in the school house mid-April/mid-May.

'oh dear God' is MUCH more appropriate

:)

There is an April 14th class that I am going to try to get into. Only three people so far are in that class. Not sure if they will let me because my seat lock technically isn't up till June.

Obviously, I am trying to move onto a Jet at another company, with more than two flight attendants, but with crap going on, it looks like I am going to be stuck here for a while.

seggy,
I just saw that was posted today regarding your Q award..good stuff we will have some quality conversations up there regarding, women, women, women, beer, women, unions, beer and women.

Congrats! That's an RJ, right? Does this mean I'll be the senior Biatch Captain around these parts? Or are there others, I don't recall...

Back in May I was trying to get into the May 31st transition class and Mikey said "No way, you're seat locked until June 2nd." Worked out better for me, hope things have changed for you.

Went up to see the plane today. Looks damn impressive. Im very jealous of those that get to fly. Ef an RJ haha. Compared to a Saab its HUGE. The engines and wing height are what amazed me. I was also surprised at how low it sits on the ground in the front. It almost looks like the gear has collapsed in. The interior smelled like a brand new car! Everything looked so clean and nice and all ready for Colgan to dirty it up. The glass cockpit was amazing.

The Q will be in Manassas for a few days. Its actually here for MX stuff and training. It was flown in by the Colgan CP and by Dean Bandavanis. When we where on it, they where actually fitting in what looked like first aid kits, flash lights, and all that stuff. Which is why I didnt get any cockpit shots, MX was in the way. The next Q is scheduled to arrive in Manassas on Jan 17th, for the same MX stuff this one is here for.

So now I give you "Senator Charles J. Colgan"

And just for good measure, the poor Saab that was kicked out of the hanger..

And the notepad I stole from the front office. They where giving these away for some reason haha.

That is what caught my attention too when I first saw the plane in person was the height.

the pictures usually do not do it justice that from the bottom of the engine nacelle to the ground is over 9 feet and the top of the tail is almost 30

Thanks for the photos Rob........any chance you'll be getting more in the next few days/ weeks? If so, keep 'em coming!

Ill try if I can. There where alot of MX guys around doing MXy things, I didnt want to get in the way. Only problem is I dont work there anymore, so if I keep going in and taking pics they might be like "uhhh, whats this guy doing?" haha

:yeahthat:

Congrats! That's an RJ, right?

Bite your tongue than stuff it with soap for saying those dirty words! ;)

I think the BEST news on all of this is that the guys interviewing for the regional chief pilot position in EWR, well, let's just say I flew at least 100 hours with each of them when they were Beech Commanders and had a few adult beverages with them as well.

It is good to have 'stories' of the chief, if ya know what I mean :D
