yup, they canceled our xmas party. said they didn't get enough rsvp's and that with the low turnout it would have cost them too much. also heard we stopped hiring and canceled upgrade classes. what up?

Speaking of Xmas parties, holy cow, Kristie's new company had a great one! Even got a chance to drink a few English beers with the guy who designed ATL's 8/26.

He had no idea that the freeway overpasses looked just like high-speed turnoffs. Imagine that.

(Don't worry, I had to look it up... it helps when you're in training and the Jeps are sitting right next to you!)

It's funny how ATL kinda fades out of your mind when you stop going there on a consistent basis...

Now I'm gonna be based there again!

Hey, I'm part of the JFK posse. I've flown thru ATL perhaps ONCE in the last 18 months!

Plus late night reciprocal headings over a couple Paulaner Salvators is a little umm, imprecise.

That explains why I did not see you one the FRA-ATL/ATL-FRA flights I was on last week. I thought for sure I was going to run into you!

There are no turboprops in Milwaukee dude. If you came here you better get out of that girlie man airplane and back into a real airplane. ( as if!)
 
Dude I saw one of your Bro's taking off outta Salt Lake when I went to jump out to Newark and thought to myself, "You know I could fly that thing for the rest of my career and be really really happy."

Anyhoo...last class I saw went to PSP and FAT. Still relatively junior in SLC though. However the days of the mighty Bro are numbered over here.
 
That's too bad, it looks like a fun airplane to fly, and I've heard good things from folks that have flown it before.

It'd be interesting to fly the original version of my current jet :)

Did you ask him why they built it too close to 9R/27L for simultaneous parrallel approaches?

Be careful what you ask for . . . when I was hired into the barbie jet at SkyW, as I walked into the terminal before the first day and looked at the Bro. I said to it (myself) too bad I won't get a chance to fly you, you look like a badd asss machine. It is:D on the first day of class, they asked me if I wouldn't mind flying it. It has certainly worked out well for me.

A system that I still haven't got to work, yet, even on company computers. It's also helpful that no one in the training center (except for GW) will return your phone calls to get a desperately needed chart.
 
Are they seriously cancelling new hire classes and slowing hiring I heard they were going to offer a signing bonus????? Any Comair insiders please advise........

I've heard the chief pilot mention a hiring freeze till April and upgrades have been canceled until further notice.
