Saw the convo go this way in another thread.. so I thought I'd ask..

Which airport(s) has(have) the best food?

Which layover city has the best food?

Anybody?

Fairly subjective!

Are we talking major airport or just a small muni?

Layover city with the best food is obviously LFPG, hands down. Best beer? EDDM.

Wow. I'd have to look up the country codes for those.

I'm fishing for either/or. I figure with all the times I ate at the Golden Arches in KBOS, there had to be a better choice. Know what I mean?

I can say- my favorite $100 burgers were KFPR - Fort Pierce's Famous Tiki FBO restaurant..

... and KHQM - Hoquiam, Washington. Lana's Hangar Cafe. Best real ice cream milkshakes on the west coast.

I thought about EBBR, but the last time I tried a lambic, I was farty for days.

I probably would have enjoyed LIRF a little more but I flew with one of those "foil hat" wearers that thinks wheat gluten is part of the Bildeberg conspiracy.

I was always a fan of Oaxaca at PHX. The Flight Deck Cafe at IWA serves a great breakfast.

Dude, there are some seriously excellent restaurants there, for less Euros than LFPG too!

Definently not the food place in Juneau:banghead:.

I really havent found a good place to eat in an airport. I need to find a place to eat in SEA when I head back.

If you are ever in Frankfurt, try Ali Babas Kabob House:D I like 13 Coins in Seattle:rawk:

Big thumbs down on the golden arches.

The resturant on the field at Salem, OR is really good.

Portland has the same basic food selection as most large airports, except they are not allowed to jack their prices up over their outside establishments, and there's no sales tax. On top of that you get an employee discount.

If anybody flies through Burbank Airport (KBUR) the burger joint (chezzburger) is awesome! and if you don't want a burger and just fries they give you a crap load for a buck and some change...

Asking about the best airport food is like asking about the least painful way to get an enema.

And I think your butt may hurt less after the enema than after eating what passes for "food" at a lot of airports.

When the food available makes Starbucks look like a gourmet meal, something's seriously wrong!

Hell, even in CDG, the food at the airport sucked. So if it's gonna suck in Paris, which is known for good food...

DFW and IAH I believe both have Whataburger. Thats the best burger around! I wish SAT had one inside (maybe in the new terminal)

Some place in the MSY terminal had really good food. Wish I could remember the name..... Also that seafood restaurant in the BOS airport is REALLY good if you have the time to sit and eat. Again, can't remember the name......

The restaurant on the field at the JVL airport brings in people from miles away, it's a popular destination of the "$100 Hamburger". No, I don't know it's name either.

13 Coins rules. Family tradition to eat there on a layover. :nana2:
