The other FO on my trip is a former Airnet pilot.

Not a lick of CRJ time and he's doing OK on the ER! :) :sarcasm:

he fly the lear at airnet?

they have this like 'ride along' program, which I tried to do, but they never called me back :(

There's no way he went straight to the ER without any glass time. And the time he spent flying a /A Lear around in the middle of the night was useless too. For that matter, we're not even going to discuss the fact that he probably flew a Baron before the Lear. I mean he's lucky to have survived that, and his passengers are lucky he hasn't killed them yet what with his lack of experience.

Oh yeah and he's dangerous for having flown freight.

Wow. You mean to tell mean you can fly those things without any prior glass experience? You know that glass, prior 121, and heavy time is crucial to make it to the big boys these days.:sarcasm:

God help you Kelvin if you think you can transition from a Chieftain or a Beech 99 directly to a jet. It's not like the Chieftain was harder to fly or anything...

Just got back from "de-brief" with the former Airnet pilot and a Skywest Brasilia CA from another crew.

Apparently, all is going well. Imagine that! :)

Uh Oh, I just put down $10,000 for a CRJ course because with no glass time I was worried I couldn't get on with a major. I hope I can get my money back! :sarcasm:

First jet for FO #2 was a mad dog, first jet for the other FO from the other crew was the 727 SO.

(Just to prove you wrong! :))

I currently work for AirNet - what are MY chances working for an airline like SouthernJets?

Nil. As soon as they find out you were only good enough to fly helicopters in the Army you'll pretty much be out of the running, and it won't matter how much freight you fly now to try and cleanse yourself.

:)

Ouch! Where's the love, brother? ;)

Oh there's love, it's just tough love. I wouldn't want to get your hopes up eh? :)

Seriously though go to the Lear, upgrade in the Lear, get your 1,000 TPIC and start sending out applications. Heck, I'd send out applications way before that with your kind of time. Do you know if Delta will count your helicopter time towards the TPIC requirement?

Here's why you should love me:

I outdrank Seggy and BananaPancakes.

I have no [aviation] hopes. Whatever comes, comes. It's worked so far!

I still don't have 1000 TPIC yet....
