The way I see it, if you're gonna pay for those sky suites, short of carrying out a terrorist act, you ought to be able to what you want in them.

Singapore Airlines has taken the unusual step of publicly asking passengers on its new Airbus A380 plane not to engage in any sexual activities.

The potential problem has arisen because the first class area of its giant superjumbo contains 12 private suites complete with double beds.

Singapore, which is the first airline to start flying the A380, said the suites were not sound-proofed.

It said it did not want anyone to offend other travellers or crew.

Singapore added that while the suites were private, they were also not completely sealed.

If you pay THAT much money for a SUITE in an AIRPLANE, you OUGHT to expect that stuff to be going on, and you damn well better be having those intentions yourself. I've stayed in hotels that don't have soundproofing, but I didn't see or hear the manager coming down the hall to ask anyone to shut up.

Tony, you're slipping in your old age.... :)

I really doubt anyone will know or care as long as discretion is used. It's probably just a simple standard bulkhead surrounding those suites, so noise would travel the same as it does between the lav door and the rest of the plane. (Ever hear someone heaving their guts into the lav? I have....)

A plane is still a pretty public place, even if you can't be seen you can still be heard! Keep it quiet and no one will know.

Indeed, discretion is the key. You can go at it almost anywhere (Even in plain sight sometimes) without people noticing, if you are discrete.

Unfortunately I have as well, during our last flight from JFK to PHX :panic:

Sounded like The Hulk was in the lav! Eewww!!!

You have to remember, this is from an airline based in a country which at one time had to offer sex education classes to newlyweds. The noise thing always struck me as something that only happened in the movies- In real life you can be much more quiet about it.

Then again, the last time I flew Singapore Airlines, I was waiting in line to go to the lav, and when the door opened, out popped...a couple! You would not have known unless you saw them coming out of the lav together.

You know, I think if they make too much noise, it's going to be good for everyone else.

"Hey, babe, they're getting it on in the next suite. So you wanna join the mile high club at 37000 feet?"

You know the people who are spearheading this ban are just jealous anyway...:laff:
