Poker Anyone?

So I figure a few people might actually "Gamble", being in Vegas and all:laff:

Myself, I am not a huge gambler. I prefer cheap Poker Tables where the money generally goes a long way. I was thinking though...anyone up for a JC "Hold 'em" game?

What better way to get to know each other while taking everyone's money?

Poker? Hardly KNOW her! ;)

Sorry, couldn't resist!

There might be some inexpensive tables downtown and considering it's late weekend/early week, they may not be filled with a bunch of "I....I...I watch poker on television... I'm going all-in"-types.

Anything less than 4/8 hold 'em and you get a bunch of yahoos who have no idea what a good hand consists of. And forget bluffing them. Its so cheap they'll stay with cruddy hands then suck out a winner.

Very frustrating.

Now at 4/8 or 5/10 its too expensive for them to hang around.

Good 4/8 tables at the Belagio. They are down by the box office for the "O" show. How do I know. I just left a few hours worth of flying there last week. I should have know when I got to the table, and this guy had a rabbits foot, a bronze eagle, and a wooden tree frog on the table in front of him that I should have found a different table.:banghead:

They usually have a 2/4 table at the Sahara. The problem with 2/4 is you have to win a LOT of hands to make enough money to make it worth your while.

Thats' subjective though dude. I am not out make ANY money really. I just like to play Poker for fun. Winning would be nice, but I am not much of a gambler with my hard earned money.

I was just looking up some of the many tournaments in town, and it seems like that would be good fun for cheap.

Not sure that's a good idea; virtually all the casinos frown on games on their premises in which they do not profit.

True. Don't want to "take the wrong trail" during a hike guided by some casino owners "assistance"

Eh... what they don't know won't hurt'em
Then again this is true too.

Either way is cool with me
I am just not familiar with how Texas hold'em is "handled" in the casinos. thought if we did something on the side, the money stays more in the group.
But I also wouldn't want to do anything that would get anyone in trouble.
