Who Moi? ;) Me drool over 9,000 sailors, AF, and Marines sailing under the Golden Gate Bridge and disembarking in my city for the week?

I feel many "girls" weekends being planned. :D Ladies of America, c'mon out to the City By The Bay for Fleet Week. Us SF gals will share our good fortune with you. :) ;)

HELL YEAH!!! I think that everyone in the Bay Area would like the Angels to rattle Mr. Daly's cage!!! You should have seen the letters that poured into the papers. The dude is a moron.

Hey now, I am thrilled, as always to be honoring our Pacific Fleet! I salute them all as they sail under the Golden Gate Bridge in the Parade of Ships!
It's very thrilling to see the fighters do a take off demonstration off the USS Nimitz, and of course the mighty Blue Angels....so there! - Get your minds out of the gutter!...and remember, my daddy was in the Navy, so I'm a Navy daughter.

Besides, most of those sailors are too young for this cougar. I did have a nice dinner with a nice-looking Rear Admiral last year though. :) ;)

Fleet Week is even more meaningful when we're at war. Come on out and show support for those who are serving in our military branches!
 
I'm not really to knowledgeable about the Navy or fleetweek for that matter, but
when I went to the web page and looked at the ships, there was only 7 of them on the "ships page" totalling 890 something servicemen/women...

For some reason I thought it was much bigger, do they not bring carriers or anything in?
 
If it's a carrier or LHA/LHD, they don't have the airwing or MEU onboard. Most ship are probably DDG,CG, or FFG's and those don't have big crews.
 
Last year they had a carrier, the Nimitz, come in and they were actually launching planes off of it in the middle of the Bay. It was scheduled to come in again this year, but perhaps there was a change of plans. Maybe she was called to duty. A couple of weeks ago they said 9,000 sailors, marines, and air force personnel, would be in town. For the sake of my local girls, I sure hope they haven't lowered that number! :(

Fleet Weekend was awesome! The weather was perfect here in San Francisco, the Blues had everyone cheering and blowing their boat horns, there was a huge Bluegrass Festival in Golden Gate Park, AND STANFORD BEAT USC!!:D

Sprint must be crying. ;)

I must go to bed now, I'm beat.

We want details. You can't come on JC for a month salivating over Fleet Week and then get away with, "Fleet Week was awesome." Come on, Sky, spill......;)
