Complex and High Performance checkout

Is it recommended to do them together? I could use a Cherokee Arrow and do both, or do a 172, and then the Arrow. Any suggestions?
 
I think it would be better to do it in one go since so you will only have to do one flight and know one set of systems.
 
It says it has 100HP. I thought that it had to have atleast 200? For some reason its labeled as high performance.
I'm no Arrow expert, but the ones I flew were always 200 hp. You need more than 200 to be considered "high performance."

I don't know any better though, so I suppose there could be arrows with greater hp.
 
OK, after some research it appears to 200HP. So it does not qualify as high performance. Looks like a fun airplane to fly though, I may have to give it a try.:)
 
There are Arrows with greater HP, but they are probably the turbo Arrow.


Anyhow, there are no, zero, 100 hp arrows that I know of.

Besides, HP is a really easy signoff, so is complex to think of it. You will get it in due time, don't pay more money than you should.

And yes, the HP endorsement requires a airplane with MORE THAN 200 hp. aka 201. not 200.

Just make sure of that.
 
I did my CFI-ASEL in a -201. Same old Arrow . . . :p

Yea drops like a rock with no power. The damn auto gear extension device will try to kill you if you have an engine out, disable the damn thing using the manual override in the cockpit. Just remember to always do a GUMPS check. Other than that she is a good bird to fly.
 
Seneca I and II had 200hp engines and are not high performance. The Seneca III onward got a boost to 220hp, and is therefore HP.

Curious.....the Seneca II's that are turbo charged produce more than 200 HP.

Can those be considered high performance?
