Speaking of cheap pilots....

yeah.. for the most part, he's been talking about working 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off or something along those lines.

Also, did you find a crashpad? If not I might be able to help you out. A friend of mine - JetBlue 320 Capt - is changing bases to Long Beach sometime next month. He has a place in Kew Gardens. His new "crashpad" in Long Beach is a sailboat......

Hey Jack...does your friend need someone to watch his boat while he's on a trip? I'm just up the road from the marina and would be willing to volunteer purely for the joy of knowing I'd be helping someone out. No ulterior motive here, none at all. In fact, I don't even like boats. :D

Aw man...busted by Bubba! But slight correction for you, I wasn't in the boat Navy, I was in the flying Navy (because I don't like boats you see).

Definitely 30 in 7 domestic though. I can't pick up any extra work to make more money because I have a 98-hour line and every week is a 30 in 7! :(
I've not heard of 30 in 7; does that include flying outside of work as well?

Phsss, so was I!:p I do seem to recall being sent on several grey cruise ships to detinations afar for vast amounts of time. They didn't even have shuffle boards, pools or buffets! Jeeaz I got jipped!;):sarcasm:

I did 14 days on the USS KITTY HAWK and that was about 13 1/2 days too long. So when it was time for orders I picked planes that didn't have a tailhook so I could "deploy" but only to places that didn't require port/starboard watch sections.

Commercial flying is all that counts. If ya wanna give yer PPL a workout, feel free!
Thanks for the info...I learned something new today!

I could be convinced to fly to NYC on a regular basis...NYC rocks! But since Jack's friend will be in my Long Beach, the offer still stands. :D

If you ever DO get to NY, you know who to call, right??!! ;) I guarantee the two of us could have a fun time. :p:D

BTW, some ships are docked here on Staten Island for fleet week and I hear the ladies here are showing the sailors some Big Apple hospitality.:rawk:
