Speaking of cheap pilots....

yeah.. for the most part, he's been talking about working 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off or something along those lines.

Hey Jack...does your friend need someone to watch his boat while he's on a trip? I'm just up the road from the marina and would be willing to volunteer purely for the joy of knowing I'd be helping someone out. No ulterior motive here, none at all. In fact, I don't even like boats. :D

Aw man...busted by Bubba! But slight correction for you, I wasn't in the boat Navy, I was in the flying Navy (because I don't like boats you see).

Phsss, so was I!:p I do seem to recall being sent on several grey cruise ships to detinations afar for vast amounts of time. They didn't even have shuffle boards, pools or buffets! Jeeaz I got jipped!:mad:;):sarcasm:

uh Gina, i don't suppose you want to be flying over to NYC to do the boat sitting do you? ;)

they're talking about Long Island, in NYC.

I did 14 days on the USS KITTY HAWK and that was about 13 1/2 days too long. So when it was time for orders I picked planes that didn't have a tailhook so I could "deploy" but only to places that didn't require port/starboard watch sections.

I could be convinced to fly to NYC on a regular basis...NYC rocks! But since Jack's friend will be in my Long Beach, the offer still stands. :D

BTW, some ships are docked here on Staten Island for fleet week and I hear the ladies here are showing the sailors some Big Apple hospitality.:rawk:

Wait a minute (scratches her head)...um, the Fleet is in town and there is a sea of sailor stew bubbling, and you're on the computer??? :confused: ;)
