I started lessons with the female world champ based in TN but Covid interrupted that.
Hope to resume lessons sometime. Took a few glider lessons and realized I was a mediocre pilot.
There is a place about 45 minutes from my house in TN that does glider instruction. The few times I've been by there no one is ever there. But I've always wanted to try it and see if I like it.Flown all over... don't do it anymore.
I it's cost effective for you, try it again. It makes you a much better pilot.
So does tail wheel training and aerobatic training.
Going glider and tail wheel takes you from ok, to really good-excellent pilot.
They just make everything better.

Yup that's the one I've been to. Of the 10 years I've lived here I've seen one airplane actually flying there. It was a Stearman doing some landings.This is the glider port I was talking about.

I think CAP had gliders at Tullahoma but CAP has dumped its glider program.
