Got the first chance to upgrade in my 12 year airline career, training was so backed up it took 5 months from zero to hero. Definitely good to be the king!

I would have imagined it would be the paycheck, but I can see taxiing and perhaps shutting the engines down being close runners up

While I am sure this varies a lot, what are some "typical" ratios between annual duty time and credit time at a 121 carrier? I am curious what the hourly pay rates look like when you normalize by actual hours on duty.

307 hours (with 40 hours left to fly this year) and about 1100 hours of credit with a lot of ALPA work making up the difference.

If there were line weights for frequency, ICN and BOS would pretty much blot out everything else.

Not sure about the credit for the year. I usually check that after the last paycheck and buy that silly FLiCA report and figure out my ‘hourly’ based on TAFB. (And with commutes and stuff)

1/2 way through I swapped bases to being home. So now it’s a long game of golf trying to get the lowest score. (Although I seem to average 500ish a year on RSV)
