Hawaiian's hiring window is open now through December 10th. Mins are 2000 total with at least 1000 in fixed wing and a high school diploma. They'd prefer 1000 PIC and a college degree. I think they are looking to hire about 100 pilots in 2022, but it may be more.

Yes. 37.5 hours a month. Right now there is "enhanced surfer leave" that is 50 hours a month. But that's a covid thing that will go away soon.

I tried to get hired there in 85 with a full F/E certificate when they had DC8's. Only had 1000 hour total but my buddy said that and a F/E rating would get me an interview. It didn't. But all worked out well in the end.

One month partially paid leave of absence. Used when a category is temporarily over staffed. Named for the guys who would take one and then just surf month.
