It was fascinating because the commenters are in awe over how close it was, one person advocated chasing the other plane down and getting his registration and all I could think was, “Why would someone be filming and what are the chances that an aircraft would magically appear center-screen, well-framed and the pilot knew exactly where to look during the “surprise” near miss as it passed.

i just got yelled at by some dude on r/aviation for daring to suggest it was staged.

After going through a near miss almost exactly like the one in the video, there's no way that wasn't staged. When it happened to me I barely had enough time to think, "WHAT THE..." before the other aircraft disappeared behind me.
