They don't give the vaccine in the US since it's such a rare disease and it's more helpful to be able to easily screen for it via the under skin test.
It's also not the most effective vaccine. A long course antibiotics does work so.....

News media is going nutty here in Omaha because Kalitta landed here this morning and a bunch of people in suits are running around with police, medical, and fire protection apparently. “We’ve reaches out to Health and Human Services and the CDC and no one will answer our questions!”
 
They actually flew back some infected people in the last batch. They had some sort of isolation chamber set up in the cargo hold of a Kalitta 744 where they held them.

Far as I've heard the cruisers were going to Travis and San Antonio. Omaha???

If I were Kalitta, I might give serious thought to changing the paint scheme for the special mission fleet. I mean, they don't have to make the 74s look like black helicopters, but something at bit less noticeable than KALITTA in 7 foot high block print might be in order.

Are you nuts? This is some of the best publicity Kalitta has ever had. Connie is more than happy to make it known that his silly little operation is the only airline the State Department trusts with this.

This most recent flight was in one of the white planes with the small red decal, but most of the early ones were in the full billboard with the stripes. Can't imagine that was an accident.

I mean, at first, I kinda sorta thought the same. But really, fear is more powerful than greed... every day of the week and Sundays.

So, if you're Kalitta and you don't differentiate your fleet and publicize that differentiation, then, since no one knows which of those aircraft are the infected ones, your whole fleet becomes suspect. I'm just afraid you might make everyone afraid to ship ANYTHING on your contaminated aircraft fleet.

It could still work well for Kalitta. I just think they need to put a bit more thought into it. That said, I fully understand this is an exigent and fluid situation leaving little time for deep thoughts. But still, Kalitta should take a moment and wind the watch.

Also, as to the logic that Kalitta is the only operator State trusts? I'd reckon K comes before S in the phone book, and the Atlas line was busy when the assistant to the senior assistant to the Grand Poohbah dialed the number.
