Headsets + Sunglasses

I've noticed that the ear cups on headsets can cause a lot of pressure and pain after awhile around the area where sunglasses rest on top of the ear. A20s seem to do it everytime I use a pair. The issue is a lot less common with my old David Clark headset.

Is this normal with certain headsets or is it more of an issue with type of eyewear temples and tips?

I'll just use XM radio without auto mute.
Just go the UAL route. Put the radio on speaker with the volume low so you only hear every third transmission, hang the mic from a convenient hook as far as possible from ones mouth, preferably behind you, and voila! True comfort.

I use Ray Ban Pilot Aviators under my Bose A20s without any issues. The sunglass arms are very thin and don’t break the seal or cause discomfort. I didn’t care for the style as I prefer wider arms and Oakley style lenses, but they are functional and have good optics.

My prescription sunglasses that look like regular glasses with tinted lenses work fine on my Telex 850. My ray ban wayfarers also work fine.

I can’t use my A20s for long days anymore. I feel like they squeeze too much vs the prior Bose. Switched to the Telex 750, and now recently the 850 and they are much more comfortable.

I use a QC25/NFlightMic combo or Telex 850 depending on the airplane I'm driving and whether airlining is required.

With thin framed Ray-ban glasses and Randolph sunglasses I've had no complaints, even on some pretty absurd days. Yesterday I wore the QC25s with my glasses for 5 hours of flying and 3.5 hours of airlining. They seal well and don't provide uncomfortable pressure.

The aviator style sunglasses have been worn out by teeny boppers. I can’t take anyone seriously that wears them at work.

Here's lookin at you kid
