Bombardier Wins

Good news

The Brazilian government wants a complete takeover. Obviously as does Boeing. But the Brazilian military, with their Willy Wonka-like Golden ticket, wants no part of that. But there is LOTS of money to be made in this deal, if and when it happens. Too much to lose. An amicable deal will be made that suits greases all hands. More especially now, as @Cessnaflyer stated with the Bombardier deal settled. Boeing needs a win.

I'll be in Montreal next week giving initial types....the atmosphere will definitely be different compared from the past 2 years

Boeing is sitting somewhere with tears and smeared mascara whispering, “Savaaaaage!”

I really don't think that this was about winning or losing, for Boeing. At least in the obvious and traditional sense. Maybe the appearance of it at the least. But definitely more political move in nature. Maybe to help push the secret talks that they have been having with Embraer, for years now in their favor.

To me its Boeing being haters because they failed to see the big picture of innovation when it came to the demand of a short range narrow body market. They should have paid more attention when Delta started snatching up 717s and taking a lot of their RJ flying back. Instead Boeing rehashed another 737 product. They need to get off their asses and create something the airlines want/need. They are going to need to go head to head with Bombardier and Embraer eventually.
