It's about four months too early for me. Oh well, what can you do? As long as I can GET an opportunity somewhere, I'll be happy...3 months too early for me.![]()

(sigh) 1 for me. I had a feeling they would be hiring again early this year, was just hoping it wouldn't be until like early spring or something. Oh well, probably more than enough qualified people are going to apply that they wouldn't hire a newbie dispatcher anyways lol
I'll be finishing in late May-early June, so perhaps that will work. We'll see...Their previous posting was in late October and went into November. Prior to that one was in July I believe. Early/mid spring is still a definite possibility.

I'm sure there will be many current 121 dispatchers applying as well looking for a better opportunity. Good luck to those who apply.
I don't think Skywest is an airline most 121 dispatchers aspire to be at...
I beg to differ. There is no better place to start out and do the regional gig. Industry leading training, flight benefits on DL/AS/AA/UA, and the pay is one of the top. The amount of former OO dispatchers at the majors is staggering. Definitely one of the best places to get your start.I don't think Skywest is an airline most 121 dispatchers aspire to be at...
Perhaps not as a career destination...but as a first employer, I can't think of a regional with a better reputation (or one that has more former dispatchers working at major airlines now.)
Not being a career destination is what I'm referring to. The comment I quoted above made it sound like people with 121 jobs would leave for a career at Skywest.

Are you talking about SkyWest?Actually OO gets a lot of dispatchers from other regionals.
If you read my post carefully it simply states that 121 dispatchers from a la psa or another regional will be applying.
Yes. OO is the 2 letter code for SkyWest. Are you talking about SkyWest?
THank you! When I get in the biz, I'll learn this stuff...Yes. OO is the 2 letter code for SkyWest.
