Hooray an airplane that flies domestic again. After spending waaaay too much of the past 5 years in China, I'm good if I don't leave 'murica again for awhile, but alas, more often than not I find myself on a line beginning with a 14 hour "cryosleep" deadhead to friggin Tokyo. The thing said this was 3,784 miles....hours..uhhh bout tree-fiddy? Dollars....not enough.

955 hrs. But that's mostly 2-day trips that were one leg from EWR/JFK to SFO/LAX and back next day, crediting ~11.5-12 hrs.
So 6-8 of those per month, about 15-16 days off on average, and $140k for a LCC FO.

Nope, full time. My total was only so "high" because I am only one of two full time SPs in type right now. Most non IP part timers get about 100 a year.

I'm not quite sure why the shortage. The last board I ran only three warrant officer candidates applied. Of those, we rejected one and the other two medicaled out. I'm holding another board later in January. PM me your email if you're interested and I'll shoot you the information. This would be for Connecticut out of the Bradley Airport.

So that is 1 to 2 flights a week? And a couple of office days. Doesn't sound bad.

For our part timers it's exclusively 1 to 2 flights a week plus the weekend a month drill. For full timers, it's about 45-50 hours of work a week with about 2-3 flights a week thrown in.

Considering I'm a man of many hats, I know for sure I have more credit, by far, than block.

I do the same type of trips. JFK to either SAN, SFO, or LAX, and back the next day. Daytime, 2 day trips. It's easy flying. Every now and then I'll do a Island trip as well.
800 hours for the year.
