This kid is bonkers

Wonder which 'airline' this is:
"It will come down to the discretion of the company, whether to hire me or not, and I already have job offers - one of which is an airline in northwest Washington, in an area I spent a lot of time in while growing up."

Yeah, that's probably either San Juan air or West wind. Both were desperate for pilots this last season. He could have talked with them and they either didn't recognize the name or were desperate enough to hire him. Not saying there is anything wrong with either company just that they were desperate for pilots.

honestly, if he got his • together, and could prove that he was willing to work the ramp and work his way up the food chain...well, I wouldn't mind hiring him. Granted he'd have to work to prove that he wasn't a • up...but I can tolerate youthful indiscretion; once the man has paid his debt to society I'm willing to grant him a chance. Maybe I'm a fool, but he might be the perfect pilot for up north.

How much were the airplanes worth that you stole during your youthful indiscretions

Not really a "kid", anymore, he'll be 26 in a few months. Time flies like you stole it.
He didn't grow up in jail, just read the way this is written.
Anyone that repeatedly steals hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of aircraft, completely disregards any rules and regulations, and put the lives of other pilots and passengers at risk by bumping aimlessly around the sky because he just "loved flying" is a pompous jabroni who never deserves to hold a private, let alone panhandle on the interwebs to be a dual rated CFI.

Maybe start by, ya know, bagging groceries. Making an honest living and paying for it yourself, instead of attempting to capitalize on whatever perceived fame he thinks he may have received during his stint in the 24hr news cycle.

I once slightly admired him for pulling his goofs off with such little knowledge. But I'm just trying to wrap my head around why I'm so beyond pissed about this. And I'm trying to figure out.....am I more pissed because he's asking for free flight training at an absurd price tag?.....or is it just because people have actually given him money?!

You keep on using this word "jabroni" and... it's awesome.

It's like a convicted bank robber getting to manage a bank when they finish serving time for robbing the bank.

You should see the skies from my point of view and you'd be amazed at just how many legally certified private pilots do exactly that.

That deserves an extra quote-like. One ping, for range, Vassily.

PS. Although I'm sure you're well aware, for posterity, Drumph is "draining the swamp" with a bumper crop of Goldman alums. Round and round we go.
Yes there was a minute where I was like, hey, we do need to drain the swamp, so let's see what he's got to offer. Then the appointments started coming through and nah.
